Liger: Puri Jagannadh Requests Police Protection After Getting Threats From Distributors
After receiving threats from distributors regarding the payment of losses following the commercial failure of the Vijay Deverakonda-starring film Liger, Puri Jagannadh has requested police protection.
Liger, a sports drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Puri Jagannadh, failed to do well at the box office and incurred losses. Now that he claims to have received threats from the movie distributors to make good on the losses, the director has reportedly called for police protection. It is also reported that if Puri Jagannadh refuses to pay, they may even plot to demonstrate in front of his home in Hyderabad.
The director claims that the distributors have no right to threaten him in any way, according to the police complaint. He continued by saying that if they had any complaints, they ought to have brought a civil lawsuit.
The distributor Warangal Sreenu has defaulted on payments to the sub-distributors, according to the producer, who also claimed that all of his unpaid debts had already been settled with Sreenu. The filmmaker expressed worry that his wife, daughter, and mother-in-law, who is 85 years old, will now face harassment.
