“Like Most Girls, I Felt At One Point In My Life That I Should Have Been Born As A Boy,' Anaswara Rajan Opens Up

Actress Anaswara Rajan says that at some point in her life, she too felt that she wanted to be born a boy. Anaswara's reaction was not because of the desire to be a boy, but because she saw the privilege and freedom given to them by society. Anaswara said this in the press conference held in connection with the release of her new film Mike. Mike is a movie that follows the life of Sara, a girl who wants to be a boy.

“I was never born or brought up in a privileged society. Like most girls, I felt at one point in my life that I should have been born a boy. Just like Sarah wants to be in the film Mike. It was never because of my desire to live as a boy, but because of the privilege and freedom they get from society, many girls feel that they should be born as boys,” Anaswara said.

In that response, a few people asked me whether freedom should be given by someone. “Freedom should never be given by anyone. But men never get chained by the looks that a girl gets whenever she goes out at night. That is the response we get from society. Then I felt the same way as everyone else. But I have already re-released one thing that we should try to achieve by being a girl. But the film will also bring this to the people,” added Anaswara.

Produced by John Abraham, the film stars Ranjith Sajeev in another lead role. The film Mike is directed by Vishnu Sivaprasad with the script from Ashiq Akbar Ali.
