Little Women actor Florence Pugh has issued a public apology for cultural appropriation in the past

Florence Pugh has had one of the most promising careers in the film industry since the past few years. Pugh has received widespread acclaim for her role in Midsommar and also in Little Women. Pugh is now anticipating the release of her upcoming film Black Widow. This is also the first time Pugh is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On Monday the actress took to her social media to issue a public apology for cultural appropriation in the past. The 24 year old actress has shared the apology after the horrific murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis police. Pugh began her apology writing, "The world is trying to make change and I’m learning a tidal wave of information that frankly, was always there but I was unaware of. I’ve tried my best to post, learn, pass what I’ve learnt on to others and of course, echo the voices of those who don’t have a platform to share their wisdom."

Recalling the time she was a part of a toxic white culture she wrote, "I braided my hair and painted a beanie with the Jamaican flag colours and went to a friend’s house, proud of my Rastafarian creation. I then posted about it the next day with a caption that paraphrased the lyrics to Shaggy’s song ‘Boombastic’."

Pugh has now said that she is ashamed of all of these things in her past. Pugh said that she knows her apology comes too late as the pictures are eight years old. Pugh has also said that she was not just stupid but also uneducated and unread. She concluded her post by apologizing again for ignoring her white privilege.

Actor Anil Kapoor recalls the time Saroj Khan turned newcomer Madhuri Dixit into a phenomenal dancer in just two weeks

Anil Kapoor was at the peak of his career in the 1980s and 90s of the Hindi film industry. Kapoor has worked with almost every celebrity from the industry and has fond memories with most of them. On Saturday Anil Kapoor shared memory with the late dancer and choreographer Saroj Khan. Khan passed away on Thursday night due to a cardiac arrest. In his post, Kapoor thanked Saroj Khan for her guidance and also credited her for making him look like a better dancer than he is.

The actor also recalled the time Saroj Khan trained Madhuri Dixit for the song Ek Do Teen. He said, “A year after Mr. India, Tezaab released. Madhuri (Dixit) was still a relative newcomer when we handed her over to Sarojji. After two weeks of rehearsal, she called Chandra (director N Chandra) and me to Satyam Hall and Madhuri performed to Ek Do Teen for us. I was blown over by the moves and the energy,” he said. “We shot the song in Mehboob Studio and watching it, I was like, “Oh God, what do I do!” I got them to shoot a male version with me which was not there in the script in front of where Shah Rukh’s (Khan) bungalow stands today."

Actor Manoj Bajpai supports director Milap Zaveri in his Twitter spat against self proclaimed critic KRK

There are perhaps very few people in the Hindi film industry who still have a soft spot for the self-proclaimed critic and Bigg Boss contestant KRK. Kamaal R. Khan is known for creating controversy on Twitter with his comments about other celebrities. Recently filmmaker Milap Zaveri slammed KRK for using Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic demise for his benefit.

Milap shared a video on his Twitter and wrote, "This is the true face of the fraud and disgusting Krk. Today he is trying to profit off a tragedy with his fake tears. But the reality is that he was horrid to Sushant while he was alive. Krk is the one insulting the departed with his fake behavior. Time to stop such people.”

In Milap's video, KRK is seen attacking Sushant Singh Rajput. Kamaal also urges filmmakers like Ekta Kapoor to stop patronizing Sushant as he didn't know how to act. The same video also shows the double face of KRK as he is later seen mourning the death of the 34-year-old actor.

Now, Family Man actor Manoj Bajpai has also retweeted Milap Zaveri's tweet about KRK and openly supported Zaveri. He wrote, “With you on this @zmilap also urge the people from the industry who mentor these elements to stop doing so else KARMA is waiting ....!!!”

Actor and comedian Vir Das also supported Milap Zaveri and called KRK a parasite. Das wrote, "He’s a parasite who has consistently attacked people who were too dignified to respond. I’m happy you’re calling him out. Let gutter trolls stay in the gutter."
