Rakshit Shetty is one of the promising talents of Kannada Cinema. Within just a few years, he has emerged as an actor with pan-Indian popularity. He is often called as the flag bearer of new wave cinema in Kannada film industry. This talented actor celebrates his birthday today. As he turns 37 today, let us have a look back into his career.

 
Rakshit Shetty was born in Udupi city of Karnataka. He did schooling at his hometown and completed graduation in Mangalore. After completing graduation, Rakshit joined theatre due to his interest in acting. He made his acting debut with the 2010 film Nam Areal Ond Dina. His second film was the 2012 drama Tughlak. Both films couldn't perform well. Rakshit got his first breakthrough with the 2013 movie Simple Angi Ondh Love Story. After this movie, he turned as a director and made Ulidavaru Kandante in 2014. This is a highly acclaimed film which was also a commercial success.
 
2016 turned out to be another big year in Rakshit's career. His second release of the year, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu became a critically acclaimed film. His third release of the year, Kirrik Party went on to become one of the biggest hits in Kannada cinema. After that film, Rakshit took a three-year gap to come up with his ambitious project Avane Srimannarayana. This film had a pan-Indian release. Currently, Rakshit Shetty is acting in 777 Charlie. This film will hit the screens in 2021.
