Looking back at Trivikram's breezy entertainer A Aa as it celebrates four years of its release

Ace director Trivikram Srinivas is popular for his sensible way of storytelling. He can portray human emotions in such a way that all sections of the audience connect with the film's content. One such film in his career is A Aa. Starring Nithiin and Samantha Akkineni in the lead roles, this is one of the finest works of Trivikram. The film celebrates its four years release anniversary today. On this occasion, let us revisit this film.

A Aa translates to Anasuya Ramalingam and Aanand Vihari, played the lead actors Samantha Akkineni and Nithiin respectively. The film is their love story which runs in the backdrop of Aanand's village. How they beat all the odds and unite forms the basic crux of the film. It looks simple on paper but the way it got executed makes the film stand out from the rest. Samantha and Nithiin live in their roles and carry the film on their shoulders throughout the runtime. The film got inspired by the novel Meena, written by Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani.

The music of the film got composed by Mickey J Meyer. All songs of the album were super hits. Especially the tracks, Ya Yaa, Rang De, and Yellipoke Shyamala topped the musical charts for many days. The film got bankrolled by S. Radhakrishna. It received a highly positive response upon its release. It collected a share of around Rs. 47 crores and remained one of the biggest hits of the year. It also collected more than $2 million at the US box office and still remains one of the highest-grossing Telugu films in America.
