Love Story Day 1 Collections: Sensational Openings In AP, Telangana, And The USA

Love Story has collected a distributor share of Rs 6.8 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This is a sensational tally, given the restricted ticket pricing, and 50% theatre occupancy regulation in Andhra Pradesh. Despite the rather moderate reviews, the film is putting on a scintillating show at the box office.

As for the USA market, Love Story has collected $307K from the premieres, which is the highest for any Telugu film in the USA post the second wave of Covid. It has surpassed the tally of Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab which had collected $300K from the premieres.

The worldwide day 1 box office collections of Love Story are said to be in upwards of Rs 8.5 crores. This is a dream number for a Telugu film, keeping in mind the Covid situation.

The film has minted Rs 3.1 crores in the Nizam circuit. In an interesting development, Love Story, being a class film has collected Rs 1 crores at the box office in the Ceeded circuit.

The break-even mark for Love Story is Rs 32 crores. The film will have to register a big opening weekend to recover the investments. But given the initial momentum, it isn’t too tough of a task for the Sekhar Kammula directorial to breach the break-even mark.
