Produced by Ags Productions, the film was tentatively known as 'AGS22'. The film takes its title from Vijay's 1997 film Love Today produced by AVM Productions. Yuvan Sankar Raja will be composing music for Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Today. Two posters have been released by the makers of the film. Both of the posters feature Pradeep Ranganathan in a comical and interesting manner.
