Lukewarm response and poor buzz from the audiences for 'Amrutham Dvitheeyam'; trailer fails to impress

Amrutham was the popular sitcom in the history of the Telugu television industry. This weekly serial ran over six-year with more than 350 successful episodes. Now, after all these years, the makers are coming up with its sequel, Amrutham Dhvitheeyam. The trailer of this sequel series got released the other day. Shockingly, it released a lukewarm response from the audiences.

The trailer of Amrutham Dhvitheeyam failed to maintain the nostalgic feel of his predecessor. Moreover, many people missed the presence of Gundu Hanumantha Rao. The scenes looked quite pale as none of the jokes cracked in the trailer. But it is too early to judge it and we have to wait until the release to make an opinion on the series. Amrutham Dhvitheeyam will premiere on the 25th of March exclusively on Zee 5 platform.

With this lukewarm response, it is highly impossible to get super positive reviews on the release day. But since it is a series on the digital platforms, the right kind of promotion can help the film garner attention. Also, it is too early to judge the series too.

The series retained the original cast of Harshavardhan as Amrutha Rao, Vasu Inturi as Sarvam, Ragini as Santha and Shivannarayana as Appaji. LB Sriram replaced Gundu Hanumantha Rao as Anjaneyulu. Satya Krishnan played the role of Amrutham's wife Sanjeevani and Kasi Vishwanath replaced Devadas Kanakala as Amrutham's father-in-law. Gunnam Gangaraju is the show-runner of this series while Kalyani Malik has composed the music. Just Yellow Productions has bankrolled this project in association with Zee5.
