Versatile actor Madhavan has finally kick-started the shooting for his next 'Maara' movie which is the official Tamil remake of critically acclaimed Malayalam hit film, 'Charlie' starring Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in the lead roles.
Pramod Films is bankrolling the remake version. Actors like Shraddha Srinath, Shivada Nair, and Mouli are playing crucial roles in the film. Sources are claiming that Shraddha Srinath will reprise Parvathy's role in the film and Mouli is on board to play Nedumudi Venu's role in the remake version. Dilip Kumar is helming the remake version. More details regarding the other cast and crew members are yet to get revealed. Earlier, director Vijay supposed to helm the project, but as he got busy with Thalaivi, Dilip Kumar became the director of this film.
Apart from Maara, Madhavan is also awaiting the release of 'Nishabdam' and is also getting ready for his upcoming directorial film 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' in which he will appear as the ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.
Madhavan also wants to explore the digital space more to tell some important stories to the audiences. He is in talks with the filmmakers but nothing got confirmed yet. More details about the film will come out soon.
