Kerala Cinema has always been the heart of the Indian Cinema. Mollywood filmmakers are famous for their aesthetic and realism in their pictures. They also has a wide recognition not only in India but also International and has a huge following in Canada & France. The shooting of the films has come to a stop since mid-March following COVID 19 restrictions. Now it looks like at least three feature films are about to start the shoot and this has become quite controversial in the industry.
This conflict has sparked when director Mahesh Narayanan announced an experimental movie, with Fahadh Faasil in the lead. The producer's council said they were against this announcement. The council also told that they won't support them as they believe that all the pending films should hit the floors first. In support of Mahesh Narayan, acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose has tweeted saying
"I am going to start a movie. Who will stop me from doing that?. Along with Lijo, FEFKA also supported this project, stating they could proceed to shoot if they adhere to the regulations of COVID-19. With this, two more projects have been announced. One is from 'Unda' director Khalid Rahman which shall be starting today and the other Aashiq Abu's production 'Haagar' will start from July 5.
