Varun Dhawan is one of the popular actors in the Bollywood film industry. The young hero made a decent career for himself by picking up the right kind of movies. Right now, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are doing the remake of Coolie No.1, which is the official remake of the Hindi film with the same title. The original is the official remake of the Telugu film with the same title. The Hindi film released in 1991 with Govinda playing the lead role. Now, Varun Dhawan reprises the role of Govinda in this remake. There is a rumor that Govinda plays a cameo in this new-age remake.
After attempting a remake with Judwaa 2 in 2017, Varun Dhawan teamed up with his father again for the remake of Coolie No.1. Farhad Samji who penned Judwaa 2 is now working on Coolie No.1 as well. Farhad opened up about the presence of Govinda on the project. Farhad mentioned that there is no talk of Govinda playing a cameo in the film. He hinted that they might come up with the idea in the future but presently, no one in the team is thinking about it.
Salman Khan's cameo in Judwaa 2 took the film to the next level and Govinda's cameo also helps the film Coolie no.1. David Dhawan, Varun's father shares a good bonding with Govinda and even Varun recently touched Govinda's feet during the Filmfare awards event and it made the senior actor emotional.
Sara Ali Khan plays the leading lady role in the film.
