The film’s screenplay and cinematography are by Mahesh Narayanan. Mahesh Narayanan has answered the question of whether there is a possibility of remaking Malayankunju in other languages. He was speaking at a press conference attended by the film's crew.
Mahesh said that they are not thinking about the remake of Malayankunju as of now and they want everyone to watch it in Malayalam with subtitles.
"There is no thought about the remake of Malayankunj now. We are making movies in our own language. Once this is noticed, others should watch the film in our language. That's why it's not dubbed into other languages. We could have dubbed in other languages if we wanted. We want everyone to watch with subtitles in the same language. Shouldn’t be like that," said Mahesh Narayanan.
Malayankunju is directed by debutant Saji Mon and scripted by Mahesh Narayanan. Malayankunju is also a Malayalam film, composed by A.R. Rahman after 30 years.
