Director M Padmakumar is currently busy with the final leg of shoot of ‘Mamangam’. Starring Mammootty in the lead, this big-budget film is shaping up as action packed historical flick. The shoot is set to be wrapped up very shortly as the makers are planning for a Pooja release in October.
After ‘Mamangam’, Padmakumar is planning to team up with Asif Ali for a new film. Suraj Venjaramoodu will also be part of the film, which is yet to be titled. It must be noted that Asif and Padmakumar had previously worked together in the segment ‘Oru Bolivian Diary 1995’ in the anthology film ‘D Company’.
Asif Ali meanwhile has a string of interesting projects lined up. He is currently awaiting the release of ‘Underworld’ directed by Arun Kumar Aravind. ‘Kunjeldho’ with RJ Mathukutty, ‘Parannu Parannu’ with Sugeeth, ‘Ketyolaan Ente Malakha’ with debutant Nisam Basheer and an untitled film with Rajeev Ravi are Asif’s other upcoming films. His last release ‘Kakshi Amminippilla’ is also doing well in theatres.
