Mamta Mohandas:

Mamta Mohandas will soon be seen on screen in Thankar Bachan's 'Karumegangal Kalaiginrana,' where she will play Kanmani, a tenacious woman. "In the film, I have fantastic and powerful lines. "I'm looking forward to seeing what magic I can bring to Kanmani," Mamta says, adding, "I always believe that some magic happens when you're in front of the camera." You are so disconnected from yourself that you have no idea what magic occurs. I'm ready now... when sir says 'roll, camera, action,' I won't be in front of the camera. I am Kanmani. That is what I am hoping for. I always believe that when a shot goes well and people compliment me on it, it is out of my hands. "Something magical happens there that is beyond my control."

The actress will film her scenes in Chennai and Rameswaram. The film, an adaptation of Thankar Bachan's own short story, is a relationship drama starring Bharathirajaa, Gautham Menon, and Yogi Babu.

Mamta previously stated, "Nobody comes to me with a raw, set-in-a-village character in Tamil." The entire setting of the film will be rural. We see and understand the relationships in the story, but not the characters. I've always been a fan of realistic Tamil cinema. So, I believe this will be a very interesting character to play. Kanmani is not someone who can be called everyone's favourite. However, there is a story that develops throughout the film, and the climax is her grand finale."
