Speaking about Mosagallu, Manchu Vishnu says the film revolves around a brother-sister duo who duped American families and orchestrated a scam amounting to approximately Rs 2500 crores.
“The original story is a whole lot more shocking and what you will see in the film is a subdued version of it. We added more drama to the Telugu version to make it more appealing to our native audiences. I spent all the money I had on this film and my family is more worried about it than me,” he said.
Vishnu said he spent around Rs 50 crores on the project and that is twice as much as his market in the Telugu states. The Manchu said he truly believes in the story and that is why he spent big on the project.
“The Telugu version will have a run-time of 2 hours 10 minutes and the international version is 55 minutes shorter. I took my father’s inputs and included 4 more scenes in the final cut in order to properly establish the scale of the scam. It is the biggest project in my career and I hope the risk pays off rich dividends,” he commented.
Mosagallu is hitting the big screens in India tomorrow, March 19th. The film has Vishnu, Kajal, Navdeep, and Naveen Chandra in important roles.
