On September 30 of this year, Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan will be released in theaters, and movie fans cannot wait to see it. The historical drama's creators have already begun discussing the sequel even though there are just a few days remaining until the film's premiere. The director recently discussed his ideas for the follow-up to his big project during a press conference. According to a comment from him, the movie's second part will be released in the next nine months.
The 1955 book of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy will be the main subject of Ponniyin Selvan 1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play Nandini, Vikram will play Aditya Karikalan, Karthi will play Vanthiyathevan, Trisha will play Kundavai, and Jayam Ravi will play Arunmozhi Varman in the project. Additionally, PS 1 will have substantial roles for Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
The movie's music was composed by music legend AR Rahman, and it was funded by Mani Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaran under their production companies Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Regarding the Ponniyin Selvan technical team, A. Sreekar Prasad oversaw the editing division, and Ravi Varman served as the team's cinematographer.
The movie is currently undergoing vigorous promotion. Trisha, who portrays Kundavai in the drama, was recently photographed at a promo event in Chennai. In a crimson Anarkali dress and coordinating dupatta, she was spotted looking stunning.
