However, Mani Ratnam has yet to write the narrative for the film, and he will begin work on it after completing the post-production work for 'Ponniyin Selvan 2,' which is set to be released earlier in 2023. As a result, the official announcement of Mani Ratnam and Rajinikanth's reunion may take some time, and it is expected to be made around the time of the release of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'.
