Superstar Rajinikanth is in no mood of retiring from films even though he hinted about it two years ago. The actor has completed shooting for AR Murugadoss’s Darbar and is now off to a spiritual retreat to the Himalayas.
Last week, Sun Pictures, the production house made an earth-shattering announcement about Rajinikanth’s next film. He will be playing the lead role in director Siruthai Siva’s upcoming film, which is currently in the pre-production stage.
Now, the latest update is that the makers are considering Manju Warrier and Jyothika to play the female lead in the film. Manju Warrier recently made her debut in Tamil with Vetri Maaran’s Asuran while Jyothika is busy with a slew of Tamil films.
Tentatively titled Thalaivar 168, this film is to be a rural entertainment just like Siva’s previous blockbuster flick, Viswasam, which had Ajith playing the lead role. Thalaivar 168 to go on floors sometime next month.
