These days, people aren't involving in any physical work which is increasing the rate of various diseases. Everyone sits all the time doing work and gets tired to do any other work. That is the reason why there is an increase in various health issues like diabetes, heart diseases and blood pressure. Thus, it is highly important to stand and do physical activity daily. Actress-turned-producer Manjula Ghattamaneni has realized this fact and bought herself a standing desk. She also added that sitting is the new smoking and requested people to avoid sitting for a long time.

 
Posting a small video clip of her new standing desk, Manjula tweeted, "‘Sitting is the new smoking’. Quick effects of sitting & working all time: Sitting raises your risk of - Heart Disease - Diabetes - Stroke - High Blood Pressure - High Cholesterol. These are just some immediate harms we could jot down. Stay Active Stay Safe!"
 
Manjula Ghattamaneni is the elder daughter of Superstar Krishna. She made her acting debut with off-beat film Show which won several accolades. She was later seen in films like Kavya's Diary and Orange. She is also a well-known producer who bankrolled films like Pokiri and Ye Maya Chesave. Manjula turned as a director with 2018 film Manasuku Nachindi. Unfortunately, the film bombed at the box office.
 
Manjula recently produced a web series for a leading digital platform. Hansika Motwani played the lead role in the film. Ashok of Bhaagamathiee fame is the director. The series releases soon in different languages.
