Maruthi opens up about film ratings

Most of the directors can't take criticism in a good way. Only a few of the filmmakers will take it in a positive way and accept the reviews given by the critics as well as the audience.

It seems like one such director is Maruthi Dasari. His recent outing ‘Prati Roju Pandaage’ has become a decent hit at the box office but the ratings given to the flick were not that great. On this note, recently, while talking in an interview, Maruthi said he is okay with the ratings that the film got. He even admitted that movies like ‘F2’ and ‘Prati Roju Pandaage’ might not receive high ratings, but they will appeal to the masses, whereas films like ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Jersey’ work both ways. The director expressed a clarity of thought in how the reviews and critics usually work and it is appreciable coming from a director of his stature who can easily rub off the ratings too.

On the other hand, ‘Prati Roju Pandaage’ starring Sai Dharam Tej, Raashi Khanna, Sathya Raj, and Rao Ramesh has been doing well at the box office and is going to reach the breakeven soon.

The details of the director's next project will come out soon.
