Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is one of the most popular franchises in the world. It had set a new benchmark in the box office collections with the film Avengers: Endgame. With the release of Endgame, the third phase of MCU got ended. Now, the Marvel fans are eagerly waiting for the phase four of the MCU. But the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has made the release dates of phase four a bit uncertain.
The first film of the phase four will be Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson in the lead role. It was originally slated for the release on May 1st this year. But now, the film pushed its release to November 6th. There are five more films in the line up of phase four. All these films have also pushed their release dates with the effect caused by the coronavirus. The films in phase four include, The Eternals, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, Spiderman 3, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Marvel is best-known for announcing release dates years ahead and making the films hit the screens as per the schedule. But this time, the whole release schedule got disturbed due to the pandemic. If the last film of phase four, Love and Thunder hits the screens in 2022, the first film of the fifth phase, Black Panther 2 will also release in the same year. That makes films of two phases release in the same year. On the whole, there is a lot of uncertainty on the release dates of Marvel films and we have to wait for a few more days to get clarity on it.
