Gal Gadot, the actress who plays the role of Wonder Woman in the DC comics extended universe, shared a first teaser for Wonder Woman 1984 last night. The half a minute teaser shows a brief action sequence featuring Diana Prince in the streets of Washington DC battling enemies.
The Amazonian princess declares, "nothing good is born from lies and greatness is not what you think." in the highlight of the trailer. The film is much anticipated by DC fans all over the world. The teaser also shows a scene where Wonder woman stops bullets in slow motion. The scene is oddly reminiscent of the first justice league film.
While the teaser does not feature the film's main antagonist Cheetah played by Kristen Wiig, it does showcase Pedro Pascal's Maxwell Lord. Maxwell Lord will face the warrior princess in her latest on-screen adaptation alongside long-standing villain Cheetah.
Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins and is due to be released on June 5, 2020.
