Chiranjeevi decided to come forward with the remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer. Lucifer features Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi and others in the key roles. Prithviraj Sukumaran made his debut as a director with the movie. Prithviraj also played a cameo in the movie. Interestingly, there is a huge buzz around the movie now since the film is getting remade in Telugu. Megastar Chiranjeevi already announced the film's remake long back. Sujeeth is the director who will helm the movie now. Chiranjeevi confirmed that Sujeeth directs the film in multiple interviews already.
Chiranjeevi gave an interview to Cinema Express where he opened up on considering the movie. Chiranjeevi will reprise the role that Mohanlal played in the original. The actor thinks that the movie suits him and the character fits his personality. Chiranjeevi told that he liked the suggestions and inputs given by young filmmaker Sujeeth. Chiranjeevi told that Ram Charan suggested Sujeeth direct the movie. Megastar Chiranjeevi also told that they are working on the project by discussing it from time to time on video calls.
After coming out with proper shape, the makers might make a formal announcement on the project. Sujeeth who directed Saaho with Prabhas will easily handle this biggie. Sujeeth must be careful this time in delivering a big hit. The young filmmaker is hoping to come up with a mass-action commercial entertainer with all the necessary elements. Let us hope he lives up to the expectations of Mega fans.
