Gandhi Jayanthi is an event celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and it is one of the three national holidays of India. Lal Bahadur Shastri was an Indian politician who served as the second Prime Minister of India. Sharing his birthday with Mahatma Gandhi, he is greatly influenced by Gandhi. His slogan: "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan," which is popular during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1965.
