Mehreen reveals how she landed up with the offer of her first film Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gaadha

Punjabi beauty Mehreen Kaur Pirzada made her acting debut with the 2015 Telugu film Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gaadha. She has done a few ad-films before that. Mehreen said that she doesn't really know if her ad-films led to getting the first offer as Hanu Raghavapudi (director of Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gaadha) had approached her through a coordinator in Mumbai.

Mehreen also recollected the first time she faced the camera for any feature film. She said that her first shot in KVPG was quite auspicious as she would be reciting a shloka in that scene. The actress was very nervous while doing the first shot of the film. She would be very good before the director says 'action' but after the command comes out, she would get nervous. To make her comfortable, Hanu used to keep rolling the camera throughout the takes.

Mehreen also said that doing her first Tamil film, Nenjil Thunivirundhal was also a difficult experience as it is a bilingual film and Mehreen doesn't know both Tamil and Telugu. Thus, she had to work very hard for that film. Mehreen also remembers her first shot in Dhanush's Pattas. She said that that shot got okayed in two takes. The Jawaan actress added that many heroines aspire to go to Bollywood but she wants to do more Tamil and Telugu films down the south.
