Mirzapur is a crime thriller web television series aired on Amazon Prime Video produced by Excel Entertainment. It depicts the putrescence, governance, and rule of mafia dons and the rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. This intriguing series stars Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Its first season consists of 9 episodes in total. The series enrolled for a second season and the release is delayed due to the pandemic situation.
The show received a good response and it attained a fan base. Ali Fazal who played a prominent role in the series as Guddu recently revealed a picture of the team getting together for a dubbing session.
According to the Indian express Ali mentioned: "We had dubbed a few episodes before the lockdown, so we picked up from where we left off. It was great to be back because this has been an unusually long break. We shot for the show long back, so it took us some time to get back into the groove" expressing his joy to get back on the track.
So, it is evident that the series is on sets again and putting up its final touches. As it happens, Amazon Prime is expected to make an official announcement as early as next week.
