Fred Willards, who played characters to perfection in Modern Family and Everybody loves Raymon, passed away at 86. After the saddening news broke out, the Hollywood figures took to their social media to give their condolences to the family of the late actor and pay tribute to him.

Talk show host Ellen Degeneres wrote, "Fred Willard always made me laugh. I just adored him, and today I’m sending love to his family and his many friends."

Host Jimmy Kimmel shared his last clip and wrote, "I am sad to say goodbye to Fred Willard, who was still the funniest of men at age 86. Here's what turned out to be our last moment on-air together." Jamie Lee Curtis shared a clip and wrote, "How lucky that we all got to enjoy Fred Willard’s gifts. He is with his missed Mary now. Thanks for the deep belly laughs Mr. Willard." Likewise, Steve Martin wrote, "RIP, Fred. You were always my comic hero. I was thrilled to work with you in Roxanne."
