Mohanlal owns a large collection of art objects. Mohanlal recently made headlines for owning a 12-foot tall Vishwarupa sculpture made at the Vellar Craft Village. This wooden sculpture has an 11-faced Vishwarupa on one side, Krishna chanting the Panchajanya on the other side, and Dashavatars around him. Vellar Nagappan was its architect.
A painting of Gandharva for Mohanlal by artist Namboothiri was also in the news. Director Akhil Sathyan made a short documentary about Mohanlal visiting Namboothiri's house to receive the painting. It was titled 'Gandharvan - Two Legends and a Painting'.

The overseas schedule is the main one to take place. His upcoming releases are Shaji Kailash's Alone and Vysakh's Monster. He also has the Lucifer second installment, Empuran. Mohanlal is also the hero in the Netflix anthology film directed by Priyadarshan, based on the stories of MT.
