Fans of Mollywood are in 'katta waiting' for the release of Anvar Rasheed's upcoming movie Trance. The movie, which was initially billed for release on Valentine's day, will release on Thursday, 20th February 2020. The much-awaited movie will be one of the biggest movies in the industry this year.
Fahad Fasil and Nazriya, Mollywood's famous celebrity couple, will play the leading roles in Trance. This is the first time Fahad and Nazriya are appearing together on-screen in 6 years. The couple fell in love during the filming of Bangalore Days, directed by Anjali Menon, in 2014. The film features Fahad in the role of Biju Prasad, a motivational speaker from Kanyakumari. Nazriya Nazim plays Ezra Lopez, said to be a role different from her previous bubbly, vivacious characters. The story follows their life through five stages and the evolution of their personalities over a series of encounters.
Anwar Rasheed is donning the director hat after a long gap of six years. Amal Neerad will be at the helm of cinematography in the movie. Neerad before collaborated with Fahad for 2018 hit Varathan. The film has been three years in the making and might be the magnum-opus of the Fahad-Anwar-Amal triad.
The film will have an ensemble supporting cast, including Gautam Menon, Soubin Sahir, Vinayakan and Chemban Vinod Jose. Also, starring is director Dileesh Pothan and Sreenath Bhasi among others. Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty crafted the sound design. Sushin Shyam took over the background score. Shyam became noted for the music direction of 2019 mega-hit Kumbalangi Nights.
Makers announced the release will be on 20th February 2020
