Monster: This Is Why The GCC Circuit Banned The Mohanlal And Vysakh Movie

After a long split of six years, Mohanlal and hitmaker Vysakh is now working on the eagerly anticipated movie Monster together. The film is the actor-director team's second film together, following the 2016 smash Pulimurugan. In place of their former intention to collaborate once more on a Pulimurugan sequel, Mohanlal and Vysakh chose to work together on Monster this year instead. The supposedly action-thriller film is preparing for a big cinema premiere on Friday, October 21.

According to the latest sources, Mohanlal Monster would not be released in the GCC circuit, which is unquestionably one of the most important markets for Malayalam films. According to the most recent information, the GCC censor board has prohibited the Vysakh directorial due to the LGBTQ+ content in the movie. The news came as a huge shock to both Mohanlal fans and moviegoers, who had anticipated that the movie would break big box office records on its opening day.

Although the production crew has requested re-censoring, it is now all but certain that Monster won't be seen this week on GCC screens. Unverified rumours further claim that all of the reservations made in advance for Mohanlal's movies' UAE showings are currently being cancelled. However, Monster's creators continue to keep quiet on the subject. It is anticipated that a formal announcement will be made very shortly regarding the film's international release.

Lucky Singh, the movie's main character, is an enigmatic figure with murky motivations, and Mohanlal portrays him. Uday Krishna, who previously collaborated with Mohanlal and director Vysakh on Pulimurugan, is the project's scriptwriter. A large star ensemble, including Lakshmi Manchu, Siddique, Lena, Honey Rose, Sudev Nair, KB Ganesh Kumar, Kottayam Ramesh, Johny Antony, and others in supporting parts, is included in the much-awaited project. Aashirvad Cinemas, the production company headed by Antony Perumbavoor, is funding Monster.
