Ramadoss, who played the role of Munishkanth in director Ramkumar's Mundasupatti rose to prominence with his performance. Post the success of Mundasupatti, he is fondly called as Munishkanth by everyone. Some of his famous films include Ratsasan and Maragadha Nanayam. He has signed an upcoming film titled Aalambana which will be produced by KJR Studios. In the film, he will be laying the role of a genie. The makers of Aalambana released Munishkanth's look from the film and it is spectacular. Aalambana has actor Vaibhav playing the lead role alongside Parvathi Nair, Dindigul Leone, Kaali Venkat, Anandaraj and Murali Sharma.
Aalambana is directed by Pari K Vijay, who had worked as an associate filmmaker in films such as Mundasupatti and Indru Naatru Naali. Pari K Vijay said that he shot for the film continuously for about 72 hours for the film with a minimal break for an important scene. He also thanked the entire team for pulling off that scene. Aalambana was shot in places such as Mysore Palace, Chennai and Pondicherry. The film's technical crew has composer Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi, stunt choreographer Peter Hein and cinematographer Rathinasamy.
