Actor Suresh Gopi's son Gokul Suresh says his father was an old SFI member. He said that Suresh Gopi is not as cold a BJP man as everyone thinks. Gokul was talking in an interview and said Suresh Gopi is a person who always wants the best for the locals.
“My father is suffering a lot. He serves the natives without corruption in any way. Sometimes he even took it out of his own pocket. That's my father's will. It's my father's savings. So it is up to the father to decide what to do. I support it;” Gokul said.
Gokul added that there are differences between him and Suresh Gopi. “There are differences between us in political thinking. That's what my father knows. But I have not been asked about the same yet. I like socialism. Therefore, I do not think I am interested in any party;” Gokul clarified.
“I heard a lot of comments that it would have been better if my father had been free. But there is another side to it. My father will get along with the BJP. His father was very close to the leaders of every party. Many have heard that my father was a member of the Congress. There is no such thing. My father was an SFI member. He was very close to Nayanar sir and Karunakaran sir. It's a matter of youth. These are things I have heard and known. And there are lots of photos at home. That is why my father is not a so cold BJP man as the locals think;” Gokul said
