Nagarjuna salutes police forces who distributed food to the migrants traveling on Shramik Trains

Migrant workers are the ones who suffered heavily during this coronavirus pandemic. Due to the lack of work and staying away from the homeland with no family around, they are facing a lot of difficulties from the last two months. The government is doing its best by transferring these workers to their home towns. It has arranged special trains called 'Shramik Expresses,' only to transfer migrants. Even though they are going home at free of cost, many people have no money to buy food for themselves. The Police Department has come forward to help such people. Yesterday, a special train was moving migrants from Mumbai and Chennai. The hungry migrants got a relief when AP Police have supplied them free food packets at Guntakal Railway Station. Actor Nagarjuna saluted this gesture of police. He also thanked them for selfless service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier today, the IPS Association shared the news of this food distribution. Their official handle tweeted, 'Upon learning about 1000+ migrants on a Shramik Special to TN without food, @chennaipolice_ Chief AK Vishwanathan contacted Yesu Babu, SP, Anantpur, AP. Soon DG Sawang, DGP, @APPOLICE100 joined in & migrants were provided with food at Guntakal. #IPSUniteToServe #GoodJobCop.'
Nagarjuna appreciated this kind gesture. He commented, 'Kudos to the police force of India for their selfless service In the front line of #CoronaPandemic. Thanks (by inserting emoticon) to @APPOLICE100 not only You are Protecting you are serving the people. #FrontLineHeroes #IndiaFightsCorona.'
Nagarjuna is also doing his bit in helping poor people during these tough times. He provided financial aid to the relief funds of both the Telugu states. He also donated money to the Telugu film industry's Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) fund.
