The consecutive debacles of Officer and Manmadhudu 2 have set back Nagarjuna from the top league of the industry. Both the films have failed miserably at the box office and dented the market value of Nag. But one good thing that happened with these failures is Nag is now taking the utmost care on signing the films.
Currently, he is shooting for a cop action thriller called Wild Dog, which is being directed, Ahishir Solomon. Nag is playing the role of an encounter specialist called Vijay Varma in this film. Dia Mirza and Saiyami Kher the leading ladies of this movie.
Meanwhile, Nag also has another project in the pipeline, called Bangarraju. This is a spin-off of his 2016 family entertainer, Soggade Chinni Nayana. The shoot of this film was actually supposed to start before Manmadhudu 2 but it has been postponing due to various reasons.
We heard that Nag made several changes in the script of Bangarraju, after the flop of Manmadhudu 2. He is now satisfied with the script and will take it on floors very soon. It is also confirmed that the film will release during Sankranthi 2021. Kalyana Krishna, who directed the original, will also helm this spin-off version.
