Nandamuri Balakrishna might feature in the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum

One of the recent hit films in the Malayalam film industry is Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Directed by Sachy, this movie features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon playing the lead roles. The movie was a perfect edge of the set entertainer which deals with the clash between two egoistic personalities. The film was a big success at the box office. If the latest reports are anything to go by, this film is now going to get a Telugu remake. Apparently, Nandamuri Balakrishna will play one of the lead roles in it.

Popular production house Sithara Entertainments bought the remake rights of this film recently. According to the sources, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is planning to narrate the script to Balakrishna. If the actor gives his nod, the film might go on floors by the end of this year. Vamsi is also hunting for a suitable director for the film.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum is the tale of an egoistic clash between an ex-policeman and on-service policeman. The makers felt that Balakrishna would be an apt choice for one of the lead roles. Thus, they approached him for the same. An official announcement will be out once the Simha actor signs the dotted lines.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna was last seen in the film Ruler. It was a flop at the box office. He is currently acting in an untitled project which is being directed by Boyapati Srinu. Miriyala Ravinder Reddy is bankrolling the project. The makers are planning to release this film by the end of this year.
