The official trailer for the upcoming anthology web series Navarasa has been revealed. Director Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan bankroll the anthology film. Individual filmmakers direct each episode.
Each of the episodes focuses on one emotion from nine Navarasa. Starting from Shringara (love/beauty), Hasya (laughter), Karuna(sorrow), Raudra (anger), Veera (heroism/courage), Bhayanaka (terror/fear), Bibhatsa (disgust), Adbutha (surprise/wonder), Shantha (peace or tranquillity) are included in the anthology film.
The trailer of Navarasa begins with Suriya sharing a story about a girl he met. From that sequence Fear, vengeance, wrath, perplexity, betrayal, fury, and guilt are depicted in the trailer. Aside from displaying nine diverse emotions, the trailer makes it apparent that these are films of various genres. The film, starring Arvind Swamy and Prasanna, hints at a sci-fi thriller. The trailer makes it clear that it presents a number of socially relevant issues, including the Sri Lankan Tamil struggle.
Summer of 92 directed by Priyadarshan has the highest number of Malayalam stars. The film stars Nedumudi Venu, Remya Nambeesan and Manikuttan in the lead roles and Yogi Babu in the lead role.
Suriya, Prakash Raj, Revathi, Gautam Menon, Siddharth, Vijay Sethupathi, Rohini, Parvathi, Yogi Babu and Prayaga Martin will play the lead roles in the anthology. Mani Ratnam deals with the creative oversight. A.R. Rahman, Gibran, Iman, Aruldev, Karthik, Govind Vasantha, Rontan Yohan and Justin Prabhakaran have composed the music for Anthology.

- Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru - Directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon. Suriya and Prayaga Martin play the lead roles.
- Tunintha Pin (Courage) is produced by KM Sarjun. The stars are Atharva, Anjali and Kishore.
- Hrithika, Sriram and Ramesh Tilak will play the lead roles in Arvind Swamy's Roudiram.
- Ethiri will be directed by Bijoy Nambiar. Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Ashok Selvan.
- Summer of 92 is being prepared by Priyadarshan. Yogi Babu, Remya Nambeesan and Nedumudi Venu are the stars.
- Karthik Subbaraj titled the film Peace. Starring Gautam Menon, Bobby Sinha and Sanant.
- Payasam is directed by Vasanth starring Aditi Balan, Rohini, Delhi Ganesh
- Karthik Naren’s Project Agni will star Arvind Swami, Prasanna, Siddharth, Poorna, and Sai
- Director Rathindran R. Prasad’s Inmai will have Siddharth, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pavel Navageethan, and Rajesh in the lead roles.
Navarasa will start streaming on Netflix on August 6.
