In every edition, MAMI features a few offbeat films made in India under the section ‘Discovering India.’ Even in this edition, there are five Indian films that are getting ready for the premiere under this category.  

 
There is Aadhar directed by Suman Ghosh which deals with the story of a man who goes on a journey to change his Aadhar Number after believing in a false prophecy about his wife’s death. There is the Last Colour, which portrays the friendship between a nine-year-old flower seller and a 70-year-old widow.   
 
The next film is Sun, which deals with the story of two cousins who live in Paris. There is Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Roam Rome Mein, directed by the popular actress Tannishtha Chatterjee. The last one is Danish Renzu’s “The Illegal” which showcases the story of Indian who travels to the US to pursue filmmaking but ends up in a mess. All these films feature offbeat stories and are raising expectations among the film connoisseurs.
