Nayanthara entered the Tirupati temple premises wearing sandals. Nayanthara and Vignesh had come through the road where they were allowed to wear shoes. However, the crowd came in protest towards this.

 
Nayanthara, who arrived at the Tirupati temple with her husband Vignesh Shivan, was seen wearing sandals on the road near the temple.
 
The two visited the Tirupati temple on Friday. Vignesh entered the temple barefoot. After seeing the star couple, the fans also thronged to take photos. Some of the photographers were also seen wearing shoes. Meanwhile, a group of people saw Nayanthara's shoes on her feet and came to protest.
 
The authorities also came with an explanation that Nayanthara had come through the road where they were allowed to put their shoes. However, the temple's trust has issued a legal notice to Nayanthara. The notice, dseeks an explanation after the incident became controversial.
 
Vignesh Sivan also apologized to the devotees. Vignesh said he was forced to enter the temple premises in his shoes due to the crowd and could not remember wearing sandals due to the crowd. Vignesh added that they too are pious but apologize if anyone is offended by their actions.
 
Nayanthara and director Vighnesh Sivan got married on June 9 at a resort in Mahabalipuram. The wedding was attended by South Indian and Bollywood stars in the presence of relatives and close friends.
