A lot of Tamil films are slowly making their way to digital platforms. In recent times, a few of them have released but no film has made it big or was successful on the OTT. As per the latest report, actress Nayanthara’s upcoming film Mookuthi Amman is said to be heading to release on the digital platform.
The film marks the directorial debut of actor RJ Balaji. Sources have revealed that the film’s rights have been bagged by Disney Plus Hotstar and Star Vijay for a direct OTT release.
RJ Balaji is currently busy with his commentary stint for IPL and has taken a 20-day break to complete the pending formalities for the film and keep it ready for release.
Some time ago, still from the film have been released and Nayanthara looks amazing as a goddess.
Produced by Vels International, Mookuthi Amman is the story of a goddess coming to life and how a common man’s life changes through it. Apart from Nayanthara, the film has RJ Balaji as well besides Mouli and Smruthi Venkat in the key roles.
An official confirmation on the same is awaited from the makers. Let us hope at least this film does it better on OTT.
