The first look poster of the movie Neelavelicham (tans. Blue light) is out. Ashiq Abu directs the film Neelavelicham. Tovino Thomas, Rima Kallingal, and Roshan Mathews play the lead role in the film. The first look poster shows Tovino, a young novelist arriving at a lightless haunted house. You can also see the blue light above the door.

The film is based on Vaikom Mohammad Basheer's short story titled Neelavelicham. Neelavelicham is the story of a novelist who has to live in a house infamous for haunting.
The film tells the story of the 1960s. Neelavelicham was made into a film in 1964 under the title Bhargavi Nilayam. Prem Nazeer, Madhu, and Vijaya Nirmala played the lead roles.
Neelavelicham is another film directed by Ashiq Abu with Tovino Thomas in the lead role after Naradan. Earlier, Prithviraj and Kunchacko Boban were announced as the main characters in the film. Tovino and Roshan Mathews came into the picture after the two withdrew.
Gireesh Gangadharan is the cinematographer of Neelavelicham. Bijibal and Rex Vijayan compose the music for the film. Neelavelicham is the fourth film in which Tovino and Aashiq have teamed up. Mayanadi, Virus, and Naradan were the first three films of the duo.
Meanwhile, Tovino's movie Thallumala directed by Khalid Rahman is all set to release. The heroine of the movie is Kalyani Priyadarshan.
