Neha Kakkar is one of the most reliable playback singers in the industry at the moment. With many hit singles and Bollywood numbers behind her back, Kakkar has reached the very top of the Bollywood industry. However, in a recent interview with IANS Kakkar said that she never thought about where she has reached now.
She said, "It feels great. I always tell people that I am still living in a dream. How can this happen? A small-town girl from Rishikesh went to Delhi and then Bombay. It (the journey) has been good. Never thought about where I have reached today," Neha told IANS.
Neha was born and brought up in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Her first huge hit in Bollywood was her song Second-Hand Jawani in the film cocktail. The film stars
Deepika Padukone and
Saif Ali Khan.
The singer also said that she certainly doesn't want to stop here and wants to continue growing her art and work. She said, "It feels amazing and I think even now I have to make it even bigger in life."
Neha also recalled the time when she used to sing bhajans as a child. She said, "I started singing at the age four and till 16 I was only doing bhajan sandhyas." The singer now has many hit songs credited to her name including Dilbar, Garmi, Sunny Sunny, Aankh Maarey, Badri ki Dulhania, and Second-Hand Jawani.
On the professional front, Neha Kakkar last appeared alongside rapper Honey Singh for their song Moscow Suka.
