Netflix chooses Honor Killings as the theme for its Tamil anthology film

Digital is the new trend in filmmaking and film distribution. In the future, digital platforms will be the major source to watch films, which is for sure. Already, there are many platforms that are giving services to audiences in India. Netflix and Amazon Prime are the major players in this game.
While Prime already entered the regional market and made a few originals in the regional languages, Netflix is yet to enter that game. But, it is now catching up by announcing a few shows in Telugu and Tamil. Netflix's maiden Tamil show will be an anthology of four segments. Gautham Menon, Vetrimaara, Sudha Kongara, and Vignesh Shivan will helm each one of these four stories. All four stories will have the common theme of 'honor killings.'
Already, the shoot of a few stories has begun and is going on at a rapid pace. Anjali and Kalki Koechlin are playing the lead roles in the segment directed by Vignesh Shivan. Most part of its shoot has been already wrapped up. Prakash Raj and Sai Pallavi will essay key roles in the segment directed by Vetrimaaran. He will take it on to the floors very soon. The cast of Sudha Kongara and Gautham Menon's segments are yet to get finalized. This anthology film will stream in 2020.
