The Russo Brothers are back! The duo is all set to build a spy film franchise. Their film titled The Gray Man is an espionage thriller based on a book of the same name by Mark Greaney. Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans are set to star in the Russo Brothers directorial. Russo Brothers' Avengers: Endgame was a massive all-time global box office hit. The duo seems to be on their way to create another franchise that could do the same. Described as a James Bond-like spy film, the film comes with a whopping budget of $200 million!

The Russo Brothers' production house AGBO is bankrolling the film. Joe Russo has scripted the film. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have also assisted Joe Russo by polishing the script. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have scripted several Marvel films directed by the Russo Brothers.
The film will follow the tale of an ex-CIA operative named Court Gentry. Ryan Goslings is set to play the role. Chris Evans will take on the role of Lloyd Hansen, a former CIA colleague of Gentry. The two characters will face off in the spy thriller!
"The movie is a real mano a mano between those two great actors who represent two different versions of the CIA, in what it can be, and what it can do. For those who were fans of 'Captain America: Winter Soldier', this is us moving into that territory in more of a real-world setting. That's what this movie really means for us," said Anthony Russo in a recent interview.
Joe Russo, on the other hand, commented on the scale of the film. He said, " Joe Russo said: "The intention is for it to be competitive with any theatrical, and the ability to do with Gosling and Evans is a dream for us. The idea is to create a franchise and build out a whole universe, with Ryan at the center of it. We have all committed to the first movie, and that's got to be great to get us to the second movie. These are master assassins, and Gosling's characters get burned by the CIA, and Evans' character has to hunt him down."
