Even after cinema halls across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have resumed operations, a fair few Telugu films are heading the OTT way. The likes of Nithiin’s Maestro and Nani’s Tuck Jagadish are next in line for the OTT release. While Maestro is premiering on 9th September on Disney Hotstar, Tuck Jagadish looks set to arrive on Amazon Prime Video on the 10th of September. Both these films are getting a Vinayaka Chavithi release.
Maestro is the Telugu remake of the Hindi suspense thriller, Andhadhun, Tuck Jagadish is an action drama starring Nithiin, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Ritu Varma in the lead roles. Merlapaka Gandhi is helming the former and Shiva Nirvana is directing the latter.
Interestingly enough both Maestro and Tuck Jagadish, in a way, will be clashing with Love Story will be out in theatres on the 10th of September. The OTT vs theatrical clash between these films will be interesting to watch.
On a related note, comedian Satya’s Vivaha Bhojanambu is set to premiere on Sony Liv on the 27th of this month. Also, Venkatesh’s Drushyam 2 is gearing up for its digital premieres on Disney Hotstar. The Venkatesh starrer is yet to lock its premieres date though. Tollywood is witnessing a new paradigm of sorts as there are multiple new outings on OTT and as well as theatres in the next few weeks.
