Padavettu, directed by debutant Liju Krishna will be released on October 21. The film Padavettu stars Nivin Pauly in the lead role. The screenplay of the film was written by Liju Krishna.
Nivin appears in the film as a commoner from outside the country who intervenes in the problems of the commoners in his own village and becomes the frontline fighter in their struggle. The film's songs and trailer are already viral on social media.
Padavettu is also the first Malayalam film to be produced under the banner of Yoodlee Films, a part of Sarigama, India's oldest music label. Earlier, the trailer of the film was released at the ISL venue in Kochi along with Kerala Busters. The film will hit theatres on October 21. This time, Nivin is back in a different role in his career. A young, ordinary man who had no specific goals in life and the events follow is the main theme of the film Padavettu.
Padavettu is also the first film to be produced by Sarigama India Limited in collaboration with Sunny Wayne Productions. Sarigama has now ventured into Malayalam after making many excellent films in Tamil and Malayalam under the banner of Yoodlee Films.
Apart from Nivin Pauly, the film also stars Aditi Balan, Shammi Thilakan, Shine Tom Chacko, and Indrans.
