No Karnan trailer ahead of grand release

Ever since Dhanush and Mari Selvaraj announced that they are collaborating for a film, there has been excitement surrounding the film. The promotional materials such as making stills, songs and the teaser have managed to pique the interest of the audience. Unfortunately, the song which was titled Pandarathi Puranam ran into a controversy that forced the makers to change it to Manjanathi Puranam. The Karnan team had to face legal troubles because of the word Manjanathi. As Karnan is all set for a grand release on April 9, Dhanush's ardent fans are eagerly waiting for the film's trailer. However, they are in for a disappointment.

The teaser of Karnan was pretty abstract and did not reveal anything regarding the story. Now, it looks like producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has decided not to release the film's trailer to avoid any controversy ahead of the film's release in theatres. The fourth single of Karnan, composed by Santhosh Narayanan has released today and the makers have decided not to release any video promos as well. Karnan which is tipped to address caste discrimination stars Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Yogi Babu, Natty and Gouri Kishan in important roles.
