Shah Rukh Khan discusses reactionary social media interventions in the wake of boycott calls for his new film, Pathaan. My opinion is different from the general opinion that social media has a negative impact on cinema. I think cinema has a lot more responsibility these days," said Shah Rukh Khan. Meanwhile, Shahrukh also spoke about social media being used for divisiveness. "I read somewhere that negativity increases social media consumption. A group of Sangh Parivar supporters took to Twitter to call for a boycott of the film. This was after pointing out that the heroine Deepika Padukone's bikini is saffron in color.
