Nivin Pauly and Asif Ali's Mahaveeryar was released yesterday worldwide. The film is directed by Abrid Shine. Mahaveeriyar is a film in which Abrid Shine and Nivin Pauly come together after a hiatus.

 
Nivin plays a completely different role in this film. Nivin plays the role of a monk. The film belongs to the fantasy time travel genre. Abrid Shine has answered the doubt about whether VFX has been used in this film, which is going forward in a fantasy mood. He was speaking in an interview given to Pearley Maane.
 
Abrid said that considering it is a fantasy film, no VFX was done in it and it was only used in a fun sequence of forty-five minutes.
 
"Thinking that it is a fantasy film, no VFX has been done in this. It was only used in a fun sequence of forty-five minutes. All the periods in the film were shot in reality. There is no VFX in it. We went to the original location and shot realistically. No VFX or any other world has been created," said Abrid Shine.
 
Mahaveeryar is Nivin's film that hit the theatres after a long gap. He and the crew are busy with the promotion of the film. The film is produced under the banner of Nivin Pauly's production company Pauly Junior Pictures and Indian Movie Makers.
