Office Office is streaming on Sony SAB TV during COVID-19 lockdown

Due to the present nationwide lockdown, many TV shows have reached a standstill. The shootings don’t take place anymore till this ends, and hence the show doesn’t air on TV. But television networks are trying hard to keep the audience entertained. They have begun streaming popular old shows. One on this list is Office Office, on SAB TV, for Mon-Fri at 6 pm and 10:30 pm. The show began to re-air or 13th April, and the audience is appreciating the same.

The show focuses primarily on Mussaddi Lal Tripathi, Pankaj Kapur’s character on the show. The narrative is set in a governmental office setting and draws humor on mundane difficulties faced by the employees. The lead roles feature Manoj Pahwa as Bhatia, Sanjay Mishra as Shukla, Asawari Joshi as Usha Madam, Deven Bhojani as Patel, Eva Grover as Tina and Hemant Pandey as Pandey Ji. The show was originally shot and aired in 2001.

In response to this news, Manoj Pahwa’s reaction quotes, “People who have loved the show previously will be able to reminisce about the memories and those who haven’t seen it but only heard about it, will be able to see it. Those were some really great days and it was a lovely experience shooting for this show, with such an amazing bunch of actors. I had a really good rapport with the entire team and I have especially learned a lot from Pankaj Kapur sir, who was our senior. The entire team had such a good bond that we used to look forward to going on sets and have fun while shooting. It’s a great memory.”

Actor-director Deven Bhojani went on to add, “In the period of lockdown, when the whole world is going through tension, pain, and sadness, the re-run of Office Office will divert their minds and bring smiles to their faces. I am looking forward to such a show. We had done it during 2001 – 2002. And after almost two decades, it would go on air again. The show is still relatable the way it was then. How a common man suffers and struggles when he needs to get something important done in the offices of corrupt people.”
