Official: Karan Johar bought Dear Comrade Hindi rights!
Of late, there is a growing demand for Telugu films to be remade in Hindi. The recently released Kabir Singh, a remake of Arjun Reddy is a smash hit at the box-office despite the critics panning it. It also marks the Hindi directorial debut of Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
After Kabir Singh that Nani-starrer Jersey is all set to be remade in Hindi by popular director and producer Karan Johar, although it is still unclear who is going to act in the Hindi remake. Now comes the news that Vijay Deverakonda's next big film Dear Comrade which is releasing in 4 languages in South this week is drawing the attention of Bollywood biggies who have been evincing interest on the film's Hindi remake rights. To everyone’s surprise, Karan Johar has tweeted that he has bought the remake rights of Dear Comrade. Karan said to have watched the whole film and mighty impressed with the movie and has come forward to buy the Hindi remake rights. It is said that, Karan Johar is paying a fancy price to acquire the Hindi remake rights of Dear Comrade, a love story of Bobby and Lilly with several layers.
Ahead of the film's release on 26th July, Karan Johar buying the film's remake rights and announcing it officially is certainly a big news among the trade and audience this is definitely going to increase the hype for the film.
